All-on-4® Dental Implants for Amarillo, TX and Texas Panhandle area
Many patients today who are faced with failing teeth or non-treatable periodontal disease want different denture options than their parents or grandparents. Today’s patients are looking for a modern method for tooth replacement, gaining or maintaining the function and expectations of real natural teeth. All-On-4® procedure provides a lasting and effective alternative form to tooth replacement. Often, patients must compromise functionality, have eating limitations, and wear adhesives with dentures. Yet, with a screwed in or permanent prosthesis such as All-On-4®, patients no longer live with limitations. Contact our office today to learn more about these advanced restorations.
A Closer Look at All-on-4® Dental Implants
Every day Amarillo Denture Clinic provides Permanent Dental implants, a simple solution with one procedure in one day, to patients. The All-on-4® dental implants procedure can be done without the need for a bone graft or sinus lift procedure. Dr. Damon will use a specialized technique with IV Sedation and will remove any teeth needing to be extracted, place four implants, two of which are placed at a 30 degree angle. Abutments are placed on the implants, and a temporary fixed hybrid bridge is then connected to the implants. At the end of the surgery, you will have the temporary fixed hybrid permanently in place with no denture, palate, adhesive, or removing to clean.
Patients who receive All-on-4® dental implants enjoy many functional and aesthetic benefits, as well as improvements to their overall oral health. Unlike traditional dentures — which can slip or shift out of position — restorations supported by All-on-4® implants remain permanently secured in place. These implants allow you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence, plus it saves you the expense of future denture replacement; they do not cover the roof of your mouth nor do they change the taste of your food. One of the most significant benefits of All-on-4® dental implants is an overall improvement to a patient’s oral health. All-on-4® dental implants can reverse bone loss by returning stimulation to the jaw.
The Placement Procedure
Before recommending an All-on-4® procedure, Amarillo Denture Clinic dentists will evaluate your mandibular and maxillary anatomy, as well as your overall health. As an expert in implant dentistry, Dr. Damon uses Computed Tomography (CT) scans in your initial consultation to plan the specific placement of your implants. In each consultation, Dr. Damon will discuss the risks and benefits of the All-on-4® procedure.
Before your surgery, dental impressions are taken, a measurement appointment is conducted, and a final viewing appointment is held so you can view the teeth you will receive at surgery. Often, the viewing appointment relieves patients of any fear they may have before the surgery.
The surgery is conducted at Amarillo Denture Clinic, while the patient is under IV Sedation. Once the procedure is complete, we provide a temporary restoration to wear while the implants fuse with the bone over four to six months. Once the area has healed, you will return to our office to begin making the final prosthesis.
